My Club Betting have secured the services of one of the biggest names in cricket, Michael Vaughan OBE.
The company focuses on driving badly-needed funds and providing sports kit to grassroots sports clubs, including cricket.
My Club Betting recently launched an enhanced sportsbook that allows cricket clubs and teams of any size to have their own customised betting site. The team’s members bet through the individual team’s service and 20% of the bookmaker’s net revenues return to the respective team or club.
The team also received free kit and equipment, dependent on the number of registered bettors.
The firm’s Managing Director, Neil Riches, said: “We are proud and delighted that Michael Vaughan OBE, one of the greatest cricket captains England has ever produced, is joining the My Club Betting ambassadorial team. Having such a legendary figure from the world of cricket working with us will only benefit our existing and prospective cricket teams.
“We will be working alongside Michael in cricket-related events around the country to help raise awareness of our contribution towards grassroots sport.”
Vaughan, who led England to their first Ashes win in two decades as captain in 2005, said: “I am pleased to be joining a company that focusses on giving back to clubs at a grassroots level.
“Sport lacks funding in the UK and I hope that my appearances at the events organised by My Club Betting can allow more people to become aware of the organisation and how it can benefit their club or team.
“The model that My Club Betting provides is one that allows players to earn funds and equipment for their team, whilst having a bet – and that is something that no other bookmaker provides.”
My Club Betting is also the largest supplier of bespoke betting sites into grassroots football, with the potential of 100,000 amateur football clubs across the UK taking the service.
The company is positioning itself to be one of the largest providers of grassroots funding in the UK.
