3 Barrels of pure value with a World Poker Tour flavour including a Corvette added to the Tournament of Champions prize pool, Jonathan Little voted better than Phil Ivey, and partypoker is handing you a passport to success.
The World Poker Tour (WPT) Tournament of Champions is now known as the WPT Monster Tournament of Champions (TOC).
The audio equipment specialist, founded by Noel Lee in 1979, became the official headphone provider for all WPT Main Event stops back in January 2014. Their presence on the tour has grown remarkably in the past few years, and they are celebrating their latest union with a little something special.
The WPT Monster TOC was created to replace the aged season-ending WPT World Championships. The decision has had its critics, but the news of additional prizes may have softened the blow in the past few weeks.
At the tail end of March the WPT announced the addition of $100,000 in prize money, a unique Hublot watch, an Aurae Solid Gold Mastercard, a pair of gold Monster 24K headphones, a customer made poker table, a seat in the Tiger Woods charity poker night, and a round of golf at the Shadow Creek golf resorts.
There’s more.
Monster has announced that the winner will also receive a spanking brand new Corvette. If you are fortunate to reach the final table, you will also pick up a Monster SoundStage (a wireless sound system).
The WPT Monster TOC is exclusive only to WPT Champions Club members. 19 players have earned a seat this year, two more spots will be handed out during contests at the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open (SHRPO) this week, and previous season winners can buy-in for $15,000.
The tournament begins April 22.
Jonathan Little: Better Than Ivey?
One young man who will likely feature in the WPT Monster TOC is the two-time WPT Main Event Champion Jonathan Little.
Little will go into the event in a great mood after being confirmed as the most popular WPT Champion of all time. The author and poker coach topped a field of 64 former champions in a WPT Tournament of Champions Bracket celebration, including a towering performance over the mighty Phil Ivey no less.
Little’s fans made sure he made mincemeat of Ivey winning the final bracket by attaining 88% of the votes.
HUGE THANKS to everyone who helped me beat @PhilIvey in the @WPT bracket contest, giving me the title! THANK YOU!!! pic.twitter.com/oUV2uwQu0b

Little also announced that he would be joining the staking marketplace Global Poker Link. He is offering 10% of his WPT SHRPO action on the site as I type.
