SBTech signs deal with BetFIRST in Belgium; Betsson ties up with Yggdrasil

SBTech signs deal with BetFIRST in Belgium; Betsson ties up with YggdrasilSports betting solutions provider SBTech has established its presence in Belgium’s regulated online-gambling market after agreeing to a partnership deal with Belgian bookmaker betFIRST.

As part of the deal, SBTech will provide reinvented desktop and mobile sports betting products. This will coincide with betFIRST’s goal of consolidating its digital products. The new SBTech platform opens up betFIRST’s live and mobile betting offerings to include as many as 13,000 monthly live events covering over 200 different types of bets, including the increasingly popular in-play betting.

“[SBTech’s] convergence solutions for online and mobile will give us unique added value, help us grow faster and provide our loyal players with an even better betting experience,” betFIRST Managing Director Lionel Lammens said in a statement.

The deal with betFIRST is the second agreement SBTech has had in the past months. In August, the company signed a multi-year deal with The Gaming Platform (TGP) that saw TGP Europe’s white-label operations, including Wilsonbet.com, 138.com and Setenabet.com switch providers from OpenBet.

“BetFIRST is yet another highly respected operator [which has] chosen to switch to our superior platform because of our constant innovation and proven experience in regulated markets,” Itai Zak, SBTech CEO, said.

Meanwhile, Malta-licensed casino games developer Yggdrasil Gaming has secured a deal to provide its entire portfolio of games to Swedish gaming operator Betsson. Yggdrasil will supply Betsson with its unique offering of slots, lottery, and scratch card games across all markets on both desktop and mobile platforms.

Despite being a relatively new in the industry, Yggdrasil has signed deals with companies such as Unibet, LeoVegas, Mr. Green, and most recently, Sweden’s Svenska Klubbspel.

“These are exciting times for Yggdrasil with so many new operators joining us over the next few months, as well as new games being introduced and the much anticipated launch of Lotto7,” Yggdrasil Gaming CEO Fredrik Elmqvist said in a statement.

“We have a strong belief in our ability to support some of the great names in the industry with some great games.”
