Acquisition to bolster emerging Bitcoin Poker experience and strengthen credibility of Bitcoin Gaming industry-wide
St. John’s, Antigua– June 1, 2014 –BurnTurn Poker (www.burnturn.eu), a poker destination for international gamblers, announced today that it has acquired Satoshi Poker (www.satoshipoker.org) effective June 1st, 2014. Under the terms of the deal, BurnTurn Poker will leverage all of Satoshi Poker’s technology and intellectual property as it readies its launch out of stealth mode later this year.
“Satoshi Poker’s early leadership with both its technology and community development efforts gives us an head start as we prepare to launch a new type of online poker experience,” said Ragnar Del Torres, CEO, BurnTurn. “We are committed to marrying their knowledge and technical skills with our vision to deliver a Bitcoin Poker experience that enthusiasts can enjoy and trust.”
BurnTurn Poker plans to launch a Bitcoin Poker Room in late 2014. The deal gives BurnTurn access to an established Bitcoin Poker player base and gaming platform, which was rapidly expanding until early 2014. Though Satoshi demonstrated early success, the business experienced challenges that ultimately undermined its ability to properly credit its players.
BurnTurn understands the technical and managerial issues associated with managing Bitcoin-powered consumer offerings. One of the company’s most important mandates is that all player funds are held in cold storage and never intermingled with corporate funds.
BurnTurn plans to re-launch the Satoshi platform within weeks, but no long-term plans have been announced. BurnTurn plans to share more information about its own impending launch in the coming months.
