The Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics has been riddled with controversy from the beginning. The Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics has been criticized for the lavish expenditures (it totaled to a $51 billion price tag), allegations of corruption and Russia’s anti-gay laws, which is why we decided to ask our readers, “Will you be watching the Winter Olympics?”

Leading the votes with 46% is No – I don’t care. Looks like our readers aren’t interested in anything that would transpire during the Olympics.

This was followed by Yes – I love it which got 34% of the votes. Glad to see some of readers who still have the Olympic spirit. They also probably put in a few bets for the games.

Third place goes to Yes – It’ll be a trainwreck. Not a bad call since the highlight of the opening ceremony was the fifth Olympic ring not opening up. Looks like it was too scared to “come out”.

And last is No – I’m boycotting, which received 9% of the votes. Some of readers want to have none of it.

The Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics is the most expensive and controversial Olympics ceremony. But it’s probably how they do things in Russia. It is Russia after all.

For next week’s poll, we ask our readers if offline marketing is still imperative for online success. Check back next week to see what our readers think.
