In two weeks time anyone that is anyone in the gaming industry will have arrived in London ready to network until they drop as ICE Totally Gaming takes in the city’s ExCeL Conference Centre. From February 5-7 the industry will decamp to the former Olympic Arena for what will be 2013’s largest gathering of gambling industry bods on this side of the world.
The exhibition, as we know, is completely free to enter and in this article we’re looking at free seminars the exhibition organizers have laid on. Split into three distinct tracks the seminars will see some of the most influential speakers in the industry discussing everything from IT support and Digital Marketing to Responsible Gambling and Sport.
The first track is entitled the ICE Gaming Leaders Programme and offers attendees the chance to hear from a cross-section of speakers covering the entire industry. One of the highlights of this section will be “The ICE Debate” (Feb. 5, 15:30). Brian Mattingley, CEO of 888, and Charles Cohen, CEO of Probability, will propose a motion that “Self regulation nevers works – social gaming must be regulated in the interests of consumer protection”. Opposing it will be Raf Keustermans, CEO of Plumbee, and Stuart Tilly, director of the Social Gaming Association, and the session is sure to set the pulses racing. There will also be exclusive insight from the likes of PAGCOR chairman Cristino L. Naguiat Jr., and John Travers from the UK Gambling Commission.
Elsewhere, the Future of Gaming Programme is split over three days with each looking at a certain factor that will affect the future of the industry. Day One focuses on Responsible Gambling and Sport with former Italian international footballer Angelo Di Livio among those that will discuss Sports Integrity and Match Fixing in the final session of the day (Feb. 5, 16:45). Day two is all about Marketing & Data Marketing whereas the third will hone in on Social Media with three sessions looking at the sector on the whole.
ICE Totally Gaming’s third set of free seminars looks at IT Support and Digital Marketing with companies being given the floor to discuss certain aspects of the industry. The companies will talk about everything from ‘Hyper-targeted mobile advertising for the gaming industry’ to ‘Why WGM is so important for your business’ with the likes of Callcredit, Shopworks, and Stickyeyes organizing the talks.
If that still hasn’t swayed you to attend, we got in contact with our site’s namesake, Calvin Ayre, who told us: “ICE is the only show I would never miss in the Gaming Conference calendar.”
Registration for the event is still open at this link and with that ringing endorsement we will say no more.
