PokerStars moves German players to dot.eu; 5050poker delists; SCOOP schedule out

Poker pros

Poker prosPokerStars has made it mandatory that German citizens play using the dot.eu domain. The change, reported by Poker Strategy, comes into effect on July 19 and only involves German-based players and not those using a German-based service in other countries. Player usernames won’t be affected with accounts moving over just as they were before and the player pool stays the same as it was. The update will happen when you restart the application for the first time after July 19 and players will also need to download a new version of the mobile client from the relevant App Store.

5050Poker, the former Microgaming poker skin, will be delisted from the NASDAQ OMX stock exchange later this week. The defunct Swedish operator sent in the application since there has been no share activity after ceasing operations last month. A statement said: “There is no basis for the trading of shares in 5050 Poker Holding AB”. Regarding the sale of the company, the firm added: “In order to improve the players’ situation there are discussions with other potential stakeholders with an interest in 5050 Poker Ltd. The company hopes that these discussions will result in an improvement of the players’ ability to recover a greater amount of their claims on 5050 Poker Ltd.”
