Barcelona Affiliate Conference Goes Mobile

Barcelona Affiliate Conference Goes Mobile24th August, London, UKBarcelona Affiliate Conference 2011, organised by iGB Affiliate, will be hosting a morning of conference sessions with a special in-depth mobile gambling focus. To be held in room 2 on Saturday 10th of September, the three sessions planned include: “Mobile Gambling – Past, Present and Future”, “Mobile: Opportunities & Obstacles for Affiliates” and “Mobile Marketing: How to Formulate a Successful Campaign.” Aideen Short, author of the intelligence report Mobile Gaming: A Comprehensive Strategy & Market Review, industry veteran, consultant and chair for the sessions, explains why 2011 has become such an important year for mobile gambling:

“For many industry commentators, 2011 will be seen as the year in which mobile gambling finally came of age. Having been heralded as the ‘next big thing’ for more than 5 years now, results have fallen way short of the bold projections to date, and the real growth of this platform only began with the World Cup in 2010 where numbers suggested up to a 400% increase in platform usage across key operators.”

Aimed at bringing together the three key aspects to create an effective mobile business plan – overview of the industry, obstacles & opportunities and marketing strategies – delegates will get an all round view of the mobile gambling industry. Although mobile gambling is still very much in its infancy, affiliate marketing is predicted to gain traction over time on this platform. A widespread lack of understanding of what mobile means for this sector has been slowing the cross-over into the affiliate sphere. However mobile gambling has gained momentum recently, and consequently, so has the search for real facts and information on the subject.

“After authoring Mobile Gambling: A Comprehensive Strategy and Review, it became very clear that this will be an area of tremendous interest to affiliates” continues Aideen “and therefore I will be showcasing the key findings at BAC and will be joined by a range of distinguished speakers from the supply and operator side of the industry.”

Barcelona Affiliate Conference will bring together affiliates and affiliate programs this autumn, with more than 1600 delegates expected. To be held at the Fira de Barcelona (Hall 2) on the 8th-11th of September, the event will hold 70+ exhibitors and two conference streams. All industry affiliates attend the entire event free of charge. Cost for non affiliates is £499+IVA, with entrance including four networking parties, lunch on both days, free wifi access, access to the expo hall and conference rooms and an open bar at 3pm on each day for informal networking. All attendees can also download a free app on their iphones to connect to other attendees. More information can be found on www.BarcelonaAffiliateConference.com.
