Bodog Europe has announced its latest raft of staff members with two new roles created. Ever since last year announcing an unprecedented recruitment drive the company has been striving to create the strongest team in the business. The latest chess pieces are geared towards the needs of the customers and the increasingly important social media space.
Markus Smet joins the company as the new digital experience director. The position means that he will be in charge of producing and executing the company’s digital strategy in an effort to improve customer experience and product across all channels. Markus joins the company from Sky where he was responsible for the user experience of customers and comes with valued pedigree.
Not that they stopped there.
Since creating their Facebook page and realizing virtual friends are as good as real life ones, they noticed that employing someone to help out was another wise idea. Accordingly, Philip Macartney joins as the Global Social Media Director, a field in which he has extensive experience. Philip worked for Ireland’s largest social media platform, Bebo, before most recently becoming Director of Social Media Strategy at eight:twenty/interactive. At Bodog, Philip will be tasked with leading and developing the company’s social media strategy.
A Bodog Spokesperson commented: “In this industry change is so fast and an equally quick reaction is vital to stay at the forefront of what the customer wants. We are constantly evolving and creating these two roles gives us more flexibility to move forward.”
One thing’s for sure – this won’t be the last appointment that Bodog Europe decides to make this year.
