Las Vegas based Bally Technologies a leader in slots, video machines, casino-management announced a contract with Italian concessionaire Lottomatica Videolot Rete to provide 800 games and systems for Italy’s new video-lottery (VLT) program. Under the terms of the initial agreement, Bally Technologies will provide more than 5,000 gaming devices to Italy.
“We believe that Bally’s reputation for creating state-of-the-art gaming solutions will benefit the Italian VLT market, and we look forward to working with them on this implementation,” said Guglielmo Angelozzi, Chief Executive Officer of Lottomatica Videolot Rete in the press release.
“Lottomatica Videolot Rete offers Bally tremendous access to the rapidly expanding VLT market in Italy, and we’re thrilled to be providing high-quality operations in the country,” said Marco Herrera, Bally Technologies’ Vice President and Managing Director of Bally Europe and Africa. “We’re confident that this initial order will be the beginning of a long relationship and lead to tremendous opportunities in Italy.”
With this partnership, Bally has strengthened its presence in the Italian market as a provider of VLT devices for the new video-lottery program being implemented throughout the country in public venues. Delivery of the VLT’s is expected to take place later this year.
