Leander Games rocks on with Megadeth

MegadethLeander Games has just officially received their rock-star belts having secured the exclusive rights to develop branded slot games based on the popular rock band Megadeth.

Initially, you scratch your head on this, wondering what an Argentina slot games developer would want with an American heavy metal group. It’s not exactly the type of music you expect to be popular in South America. It’s rare to see a heavy metal group transition itself into the slot games space.

But Leander Games described the deal in their release as a “landmark deal” for the company.

Founder and CEO of Leander Games Ramiro Atucha, said in the release, “Providing licensed games for a phenomenal brand such as Megadeth is a really exciting proposition for us…Drawing on the bands staggering worldwide popularity and in keeping with their image, we have developed a game that will truly engage players on a global scale.”

I’m not sure how I’d feel putting my money into a land-based slot game called Symphony of Destruction.

“We have an in house team that specialise in providing the most thrilling mathematics and advanced graphics with most of the creative team specialising in 2D, 3D and motion art, therefore the Megadeth slot game player experience is unparalleled,” Atucha added.

Megadeth was founded in 1983 by Dave Mustaine and bassist David Ellefson, after Mustaine was bounced from the uber popular heavy metal group Metallica. He certainly landed on his feet, following his expulsion Mustaine and Megadeth went on to release twelve studio albums and sell over 20 million copies around the world.

“We have an amazing fan base that is incredibly loyal to our music and everything we stand for and we never dreamed that one day we would have a “Megadeth” slot game for fans to play,” said Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine.
