CTXM partners with VMware to provide virtualized solutions for iGaming Industry

CTXM partners with VMware virtualization enterprise solutionsJanuary 13, 2011. CURACAO, Netherlands Antilles. CTXM announced that it has partnered with industry leader VMware to provide a variety of virtualized solutions to the iGaming community. The combination of CTXM’s industry experience and VMware’s cloud computing expertise provides iGaming and electronic payment operators with a unique service.

Payment providers and iGaming operators are continually encountering increased security threats to their online operations, as well as skyrocketing costs to maintain data stores and large IT infrastructures. The protection of sensitive customer data and the security of online transactions are paramount in these industries, which is often further complicated by the company having multiple geographical locations that have varying IT installations.

Recognising the need within these market sectors for efficient and cost effective data security, disaster recovery and resource utilisation solutions, CTXM has partnered up with VMware to provide a vital service that meets this demand.

“Securing access to organizational data, preventing database leaks and enforcing robust security policies is a primary concern for iGaming operators and payment providers. Through our partnership with VMware, CTXM is able to provide cloud installations and virtualized desktops that offer considerable advantages to these operators,” Victor Stepanov, CTO at CTXM, explained. “Our solutions provide a reduction in security risks, a decrease in the total cost of operation and greatly enhanced disaster recovery options. By combining CTXM’s specialised iGaming industry experience and VMware’s virtualization expertise, we are able to offer these sectors very specific solutions that address their particular needs.”

Through the collation of an organization’s data into well protected data centres, a virtual network is able to apply enhanced perimeter security on that data without the need for specific hardware or multiple software instances. In addition, virtual networks provide enhanced business recovery procedures irrespective of the multiple physical locations a business might have.

In addition, providing operators and support staff with virtual desktops eliminates the need to store sensitive data locally, thereby minimizing the possibility that this data could be transferred to a mobile storage device. Deployment procedures are standardized and scalability is obtained by cloning predefined profiles. Maintenance processes such software updates or disk based backups are centralized to avoid expensive downtimes for operators.

CTXM partners with VMware“We have successfully completed a cloud-creation project with PsiPay, operators of the EcoCard brand, which involved the virtualisation of 30 workstations that were located in two countries. This was achieved through the use of VMware’s excellent solutions. The result was improved security and efficiency for PsiPay, while also providing them with flexible access to their systems and negligible downtime from occurrences such as hardware failure,” Mr Stepanov said.

“CTXM, in partnership with VMware, is proud to offer such business critical services to the iGaming and payment provider industries. Our portfolio of virtualisation services includes infrastructure virtualisation, global distribution, business continuity, as well as support and operation centre virtualization. Through our partnership, we are now looking forward to assisting more companies achieve greater security, as well as enhanced efficiency,” he concluded.
