eGR Awards adds two new categories

EGR Awards 9As the end of the year gets even nearer, there are some things that will soon become clearer. Where you will be drinkin’ come New Years Eve this year may soon be decided. Which meat you will have sending to the slaughter for your Christmas meal should also be agreed upon very soon indeed. That just leaves one thing. Who’s going to win at the iGaming industry Oscars, and just how many more awards are eGR going to feel the need to add to the proceedings?

Well the former you will have to wait until to the end of the month for, but as far as new categories go, it looks like they’ve treated us to a double whammy today. The “Best Website Performance” and “Best Mobile Performance” awards enter this year’s edition and will be judged by the performance monitoring firm Gomez.

The mobile award will be of particular importance to firms as the sector continues to enjoy rapid growth at present. Entries in this category will be tested against Android and iPhone devices on the Vodafone and O2 mobile networks. Meanwhile the website category will test for both performance and availability, assessing against different ISPs from across four major European countries.

The awards, hosted by comedian Jack Whitehall, take place at the HAC in London on Wednesday 24 November. The tablog will have a team on hand to cover the evening’s festivities, including the winner of the coveted DAF award.
