Florida Lottery extends GTECH Contract

GTECH is set make some serious bank with the extension of its contract with the Florida Lottery. The Florida Lottery and the Lottomatica subsidiary have come to terms with a four year contract extension which will see GTECH bank between $135m to $145m in revenues.

Under the terms of the four year contract extension, GTECH will continue to provide the Flordia Lottery with online lottery technology and ongoing services as well as additional instant-ticket vending machines. Obviously since the two companies entered into agreement back in 2005, the Florida Lottery has been one happy customer. The Flordia Lottery has benefitted from GTECH’s suite of more than 13,000 Altura terminals, 6,650 ES MultiMedia digital advertising displays, 2,550 Ticket-Scan machines and GTECH’s Enterprise Series solution system.

With GTECH having offices in both Tallahassee and Orlando, the contract is great for the economy of the state and ensures the security of many employees moving forward. The contract is set to officially commence beginning March 28th 2011.
