When the Levy breaks — UK horse racing wants more money from bookmakers

UK-Horse-Racing-BookmakersRacing For Change was the organization formed by UK horse racing’s bigwigs in order to get more punters interested in their sport. And it appears to have done some good, as track attendance is up 3.5% this year. So now they’ve formed Racing United, which seeks to compel UK bookmakers to top up their contributions to the horse racing Levy, which the horsemen claim has almost halved in recent years.
