A day after signing a bill to ban sweepstakes games, now NC governor Beverly Perdue has said she’s willing to listen to proposals to legalize video poker in North Carolina… again. I guess sensing she was on a roll, she also suggested she still had interest in privatizing parts of the liquor system in the state. Is there an election coming up? Perdue is talking my language of gambling and drinking. Could be just a bunch of bravado, or could video poker make a comeback in NC? Read more.
