Katz has told Edmonton city councillors that he doesn’t think much of their pithy $200M plan to renovate the Oilers’ existing hockey arena, and that unless the city builds him a new barn on land he owns in downtown Edmonton by 2014 (when his current deal with the city expires), he and the team will be forced to skate off for, er, greener pastures.
