Macau gambling chief pays for acquired stench

If I told you that to recreate the smell of rotting corpses costs a total of $2,065 I’m sure that you’d tell me you get it for a lot less than. Macau’s gambling king Stanley Ho doesn’t seem to care though.

The pungent odour is produced by South East Asian fruit the durian, of which Ho imported 88 of the Mao Shan King variety from Singapore this past week. It’s reported that the police were called when he shared 10 of the fruit with Hong Kong business mogul Li Ka-shing, after Ho had earlier told a colleague ‘I’d kill for some food right now!’ Read more.
