At this point in the 2010 World Cup, European teams have been favored in 12 of 15 matches, yet have won only five games. African teams have fared even worse, winning just once in eight opportunities, but to be fair, they were only favored in two of those matches. Meanwhile, Asian and North American squads have somewhat exceeded relatively soft expectations, while South America has yet to come out on the losing end.
