Coral launches in-house TV network to boost betting

Coral, the third-largest (after William Hill and Ladbrokes) UK bookmaker in terms of number of betting shops, is launching an in-house TV network to be broadcast in its 1,600 locations. Like most high street bookies, Coral has seen a decline in trade as its customers migrate to online betting sites, so its hoping live coverage from Sky Sports and horse racing (through a partnership with betting channel Turf TV) will both draw in punters and keep them in the shops longer.
