Ontario Superior Court Justice Maurice Cullity has declined to certify the attempt by 10,000 ‘self-excluded’ gamblers to have their $3.5B lawsuit against Ontario Lottery & Gaming Corp. defined as a ‘class action’. The ruling did not make any claim either way on the merits of the suit, merely that the variety of each gambler’s situation required each case to be pursued individually.
