Sportingbet and the online version of French newspaper Le Monde have inked a two-year exclusive partnership which incorporates an advertising agreement as well as a new co-branded product, accessible from the sport pages of Le Monde.fr. To keep on the good side of les gendarmes, the real-money version of the product won’t be available until the French market is officially liberalized (currently expected to happen by June of this year). Until that time, it’s play money only. Of course, if Greece goes bankrupt before that time and drags Ireland, Portugal and a few others down with it, the Euro may qualify as play money. Read more.
