New figures released by the Tasmanian Gaming Commission reveal that Tasmanians spent more than $200 million playing poker machines last year.

And apparently this is a terrible thing. “It’s children who’re losing the food off their tables, families having to sell their homes, business failure,” concludes Greens spokesman, Kim Booth, before adding that driving, drinking alcohol, having sex and using hairspray should also be banned because of the number of deaths they cause every year.
