The GTECH Corporation, a subsidiary of the Lottomatica Group has announced that they have just sealed the deal on a two-year extension to continue providing lottery products and ongoing support services to its customer in Mexico, Pronosticos para la Asistencia Publica through September 2014.
Under the terms of the two year extension GTECH expects to receive approximately $43 million in revenues over the two-year period. The extension solidifies a long standing relationship, Pronosticos has been a valued GTECH customer since 1987. The extension will see GTECH continue providing the operation and maintenance of the online central system and communications network; maintenance of Pronosticos’ 9,300 online terminal base; field service; hotline management; and marketing support to further enhance Pronosticos’ overall product and game portfolio. GTECH will also continue working with Pronosticos in the development of new sales channels utilizing GTECH’s ES Connect® B2B solution.
GTECH President and CEO Jaymin B. Patel said in the company’s release, “Today, in addition to the 9,300 terminals selling tickets at traditional lottery outlets, more than 6,000 supermarkets and convenience stores throughout Mexico are selling lottery tickets through their cash registers, allowing more convenience for players and ease of execution for retailers.
