PKR.com takes home top prize

pkr logoLeading Alderney-licensed three-dimensional online poker site PKR.com has been named as the UK’s most successful privately-owned technology company in the latest Sunday Times Tech Track 100 awards.

The 2010 edition of the Sunday Times Tech Track 100 awards was published on Sunday and ranked the UK’s leading private technology companies with the fastest-growing sales over the previous three years.

“We’re absolutely delighted to be ranked number one in the 2010 Sunday Times Tech Track 100 as it’s a hugely prestigious award,” said Malcolm Graham, Chief Executive Officer for PKR.com.

“To come out ahead of some truly world-class technology companies is a testament to the hard work that our talented team have put in over the past three years.”

The Sunday Times Tech Track 100 installed PKR.com into the top spot after seeing yearly sales growth of 356.44 percent over the previous three years, which was almost double its nearest competitor, while revenues increased from £347,000 to over £33 million.

Founded in 2004 by entrepreneur Jez San, PKR.com is headquartered in London and now employs over 100 staff. It has in excess of four million registered users and has won numerous accolades including the Hotshot Operator Of The Year award at the 2008 E-Gaming Review Awards and Poker Operator Of The Year prize at the 2010 International Gaming Awards.
