Russia’s gamblers say ‘nyet’ to government ban

RussianDancerThis was as predictable a result as a hockey game between Russia and Jamaica. Russia’s ill-advised plan to restrict the country’s gambling to four remote ‘zones’ has led to a proliferation of underground gambling dens throughout Moscow and St. Petersburg. And so the clock begins ticking on how long it will take Russian legislators (read: Vladmir Putin) to understand that, Kalashnikovs notwithstanding, prohibition has never worked – and that’s the Pravda (truth).
