With just four months away from the opening ceremonies of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and no decision yet from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) regarding postponing the Games, Canada and Australia have consecutively announced their withdrawal from the event. The sporting world continues to take a pause during the COVID-19 coronavirus epidemic but the OIC has not formally announced plans to postpone or cancel the sporting event. With both countries dropping out though, the Olympics are starting to look less fun. If another domino or two drop, the IOC’s hand could be forced to postpone.
