The Story

The Philippines' Department of Justice has launched an investigation against a Paranaque City prosecutor who dismissed the four counts of fraud filed by Tiger Resort Leisure and Entertainment Inc. against Japanese casino mogul Kazuo Okada.

The prosecutor was accused of partiality by TRLEI.

Philippine Justice Secretary Menardo Guevara confirmed that Paranaque City Prosecutor Amerhassan Paudac will be investigated to determine whether the latter prematurely disclosed the decision on Okada's fraud case. TRLEI said that news of the decision already reached Facebook and Instagram even before they were able to obtain a copy of the decision. If found guilty of the offense, Paudac's dismissal of Okada's case will be rendered void.
