just do it and correct course along the way.

The Story

The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has parted company with several Italian online gambling licensees following a probe into their anti-money laundering protocols.

What happened?

In February, the MGA asked each of its seven Italian licensees to answer 20 specific questions regarding their operations. The investigation came after Italian authorities busted an illegal online gambling ring linked to the Malta-licensed operator of Bsport24.com and B28sport.com domains. Gambling accounts for roughly 12% of Malta’s economic output, and thus, any aspersions cast on the MGA’s licensees represent an existential threat to Maltese society.
