The Story

Steve Wynn has stepped down as the Republican National Committee (RNC) chairperson a day after media reports about his sexual impropriety surfaced. This marks the beginning of what could be a series of unfortunate events for the Wynn Resorts CEO.

Wynn labelled the allegations against him as “preposterous.”

The billionaire issued a statement after his resignation, saying that “the work [the RNC] are doing to make America a better place is too important to be impaired by this distraction.” Meanwhile, the report of Wynn’s alleged sexual misconduct accusations has sent shockwaves to his properties globally: Wynn Resots’ stock shed 10% of its value; Wynn Macau’s shares are expected to plummet; while his Boston Harbor integrated resort property could become the subject of an investigation.
