If something is important enough, even if the odds are against you, you should still do it.

The Story

If there’s anything constant other than the sun rising is Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s cockiness. The undefeated boxer said that he plans to bet on himself in his fight against Conor McGregor on August 26.

*Pretends to be shocked*

The boxer never passes up on any chance to bet big bucks. “I’m never going to bet against myself. Never,” Mayweather told talk show host Jimmy Kimmel on Tuesday.

Of course, his rival has the same bright idea.

Nothing can stop Mayweather legally from betting as the much publicized fight will happen in Las Vegas. And according to reports, even Conor McGregor is also betting on himself.

Mayweather’s so confident that he’ll win.

The boxing champion has made an irresistible offer for anyone willing to back him up. “It’s worth it. Whatever you bet, and if you don’t win, I’ll give it back to you,” Mayweather told Kimmel.

Oddsmakers also believe that Mayweather will follow through.

Ivey sued the casino to collect his winnings but lost the case before the Court of Appeal in 2016. However, he got a permission from the UK Supreme Court to appeal the decision that he had cheated in a form of “advantage play.”

Takeaway

To be honest, everyone is tired of hearing the two sports icons engage in a verbal tussle. Fans could only hope that they put the money where their mouths are and give a fight that is one for the books.
