An even bigger WhichBingo Awards returns for its 2018 edition, where 18 operators will be feted on June 12 at the The Steel Yard in London for their contributions to the UK online bingo industry.
Organizers of WhichBingo Awards have added four new categories to address the growing overlap with slots and casino games.
The awardees in nine categories will be decided by a public player’s vote while the winners of the remaining nine categories will be handpicked by a judging panel. Organizers estimated that there are over 12,000 votes casted in choosing the winners of the most prestigious annual gaming awards body.
The player voted categories are Best Online Bingo Site, Best Slots & Casino Site, Best Online Bingo Chat Team, Best Newcomer, Best Cozy Games Bingo Site, Best Dragonfish Bingo Site, Best Jumpman Gaming Bingo Site, Best Microgaming Bingo Site, and Best Playtech Bingo Site.
A panel of judges will deliberate the winners in the categories of Best Mobile Bingo Experience, Best Customer Service, Most Socially Responsible Operator, Best Marketing Campaign, Best Use of Social Media, Best Online Bingo Software, Innovation of the Year, Best Online Slots Game, and Best Affiliate Program.
The panel of judges for this year’s awards is composed of GamCare helpline adviser Mike Kenward; GAMSTOP CEO Fiona Palmer; Remote Gambling Association independent consultant Stella Dalton; Industry Group for Responsible Gambling Chairman John Hagan; University of Gloucestershire Strategic Management in the Business School Professor Peter Jones; WhichBingo in-house expert Anita Heffernan; WhichBingo editorial team member Roger Knowles; and WhichBingo Head of Projects Wayne Howe.
One of the categories that the attendees will have to look out for is the Innovation of the Year award, which recognizes the most innovative products and services to date. The nominees for this category are Live Beyond Live – Mr. Green Live Casino, Slingo Rainbow Riches, The Mega Reel – Jumpman Gaming, and Wink Bingo Rewards.
Knowing the winner of the Best Newcomer category is also something that many operators look forward to. The nominees for this category are Anytime Casino, Big Tease Bingo, Bingo Besties, Fairground Slots, Mobile Slots, Mr. Green Bingo, Payday Slots, PlayOJO, WTG Bingo, and Zoes Bingo.
Working in partnership with The Online Bingo & Slots Summit, the WhichBingo Awards is organized by WhichBingo.co.uk, a long-running online bingo reviews website. WhichBingo has won numerous industry awards over the years, including Best Online Bingo Portal in 2008 & 2009, Best Gaming Community in 2012, and Best Bingo Affiliate in 2015 and 2016.
