Rugby Football League signs up to Sportradar integrity and data partnership

RUGBY FOOTBALL LEAGUE SIGNS UP TO SPORTRADAR INTEGRITY AND DATA PARTNERSHIP

In a two-year deal signed at the start of the 2017 season, the Rugby Football League has put in place an Integrity Partnership with Sportradar Integrity Services to monitor global betting patterns in the sport.

Under the deal, Sportradar’s renowned Fraud Detection System will monitor over 200 Rugby League matches, including all Betfred Super League games, Ladbrokes Challenge Cup games as well as the Dacia World Club Series.

To complement this service, Sportradar Integrity Services will also deliver bespoke integrity workshops to club representatives and Rugby Football League match officials.

In parallel, the Rugby Football League have finalized an official data partnershipRUGBY FOOTBALL LEAGUE SIGNS UP TO SPORTRADAR INTEGRITY AND DATA PARTNERSHIP with Sportradar which will ensure that data from Rugby Football League competitions is made available to a range of businesses and platforms.

Rugby Football League Director of Operations and Legal Karen Moorhouse outlined her thoughts on the partnership: “At the Rugby Football League we take the integrity of the game very seriously. It is important that everyone within Rugby League, but also those outside our immediate reach, are in no doubt about our commitment to an honest and credible sport. Our partnership with Sportradar underpins our message and magnifies it. We are looking forward to working with them over the coming years.”

Underpinning this message is the fact that the Rugby Football League has also signed up to the Sport Betting Integrity Forum’s 2017 Action Plan. The 2017 updated edition builds on last year’s progress, continuing the collaborative approach across sport, betting operators, law enforcement and government to prevent, protect against and deter sports betting-related corruption.
