Daily fantasy football platform Oulala Games has chalked up its first Premier League football club partnership with Leicester City.

Oulala Games scores first premier league partnershipUnder the deal, Oulala Games Ltd. has created a Leicester City branded game, which was launched on Oulala.com ahead of Leicester–Newcastle United game on November 21st. The partnership will provide the fantasy sports site with extensive exposure within Leicester City’s stadium, the team’s website LCFC.com, the club’s digital channels and within match day programs.

“This partnership is symbolic for Oulala. Leicester City has been able to do great things, and the club has enjoyed a fantastic start to the season. We believe there are a number of synergies between their business and ours, and that we share many of the same values,” Valery Bollier, CEO of Oulala Games. “Oulala is proud to be partnering with such an efficient, forward thinking organisation, one which we believe will continue to go from strength to strength.”

“We’re delighted to partner with Oulala to bring supporters a new way to game here at Leicester City. Fantasy Football is a relatively established platform in the UK and this will give supporters the chance to pick their sides on their own bespoke-branding LCFC website,” added Ian Flanagan, Commercial Director at Leicester City Football Club. “This partnership also adds to our global appeal – Fantasy Football is a huge and growing industry in countries such as the US and it will provide those Foxes supporters Stateside and elsewhere an opportunity to take part in the LCFC experience.”

Oulala is the first fantasy sports operator to have signed this kind of partnership with an English Premier League football club, Bollier told Calvinayre.com.

“Leicester City FC will be actively promoting our game on its website, social media pages, in a weekly e-newsletter, etc. Oulala, on the other hand, will provide original and quality written, graphic and video content with player, team, head to head and referee statistics and tips for fantasy football fans,” added Bollier. “This close relationship is a good example of a white label solution for our game – a plug and play solution aimed at anyone wishing to enter this fast growing new market.”

Oulala launched a real-money version of its site in October, boasting a sophisticated scoring system for fantasy football (soccer), comprising 70 different statistical criteria sourced directly from Opta. Oulala hopes this point system will give game players an experience as close as possible to football reality, where players win rewards based on skill over luck.
