“At this moment in time while the landscape is changing and developing, there isn’t any opportunity to directly sponsor within the people’s republic [of China],” said Mummery.
Mummery also talked about the increase importance of brand ambassadors saying that their effectiveness for a particular brand is a combination of where that brand is in terms of the maturity of the brand, the recall of the brand and the understanding of the brand values.
