Bally Technologies Inc., considered by many as an industry leader in slots, video machines, casino-management, interactive applications, and networked and server-based systems for the global gaming industry, has announced an agreement with the Mohegan Sun, one that involves the latter using the former’s iGaming platforms in a number of its casinos in Uncasville, Connecticut and Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
As part of the new partnership between the two industry mainstays, Bally Technologies will provide the system that will allow Mohegan Sun to offer play-for-free online poker in their two casinos as it prepares for impending online wagering regulation.
Bally’s iGaming platform, particularly its open architecture, allows its operators liberty to choose from “best-in-class content” from different service providers. Likewise, the platform has also been designed to accommodate mobile integration, including its capability in hosting a variety of online game offerings, including poker, casino table games, video slots, and sports betting. With a comprehensive offering that covers a whole lot of bases, it certainly didn’t look like the Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority had any trouble striking a new partnership agreement with a company that provides the things they need.
“We’re thrilled to continue our successful partnership with Bally Technologies,” Mitchell Etess, Chief Executive Officer for the Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority, said.
“Our goal is always to provide our guests with the best gaming and entertainment offerings, and we believe iGaming is the next step in fulfilling the demand for regulated online play when customers aren’t able to be on property. Further, we believe this exciting new offering will entice new players to visit our properties and experience all that we have to offer.”
Likewise, Etess’ counterpart in Bally Technologies, CEO Richard Haddrill, expressed his own excitement over the new partnership with the Indian tribe. “We are proud of our long-term strategic partnership with Mohegan Sun,” Haddrill commented.
“This partnership will demonstrate the advantages of having an open iGaming platform, which allows for best-in-class content.”
