There’s an old joke that goes “Why are Calvinists opposed to people shagging while standing? They’re afraid it might lead to dancing.” Brunei’s religious affairs minister doesn’t find that funny, as he’s just nixed the idea of an ‘alcohol zone’ (to allow non-Muslim tourists to get ‘stoned’ without risk of being ‘stoned’) because casino and prostitution zones would not be far behind and this would incur “the wrath of Allah”.
