History is written by the victors – or says Walter Benjamin. Three days from now, WWE history book will once again be re-written as the world’s best wrestlers collide in WWE Wrestlemania 33.
What are the chances of Roman Reigns in stopping The Undertaker from winning his 100th PPV match at ‘Mania? Will the bad blood between Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt be finally settled? Will Kevin Owens choose glory over his friendship with Chris Jericho?
For sure, no one knows the answer as the company stacked 13 fantastic matches filled with twist and turns. But we can always get a glimpse of what is to come on Sunday night courtesy of our friends in Bodog.
This year’s ‘Mania is top-billed by WWE Universal Championship title holder Bill Goldberg, who is set to defend his belt from the beast incarnate, Brock Lesnar. Every wrestling fan is looking forward to this fight especially since after ‘Mania hyped their so-called rivalry these past few months.
For the oddsmaker, the champion is coming in the ring as the underdog with Brock Lesnar with 9/1 odds of beating Brock Lesnar. Lesnar, who is returning to the WWE after his attempt for fame in the UFC, is strongly favored to finally defeat Goldberg with 1/30 odds.
Speaking of rivalry, fans might finally see the conclusion of the brewing feud between Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt. If the odds are correct, Randy Orton is slightly favored to beat WWE Champion Bray Wyatt with 5/13 odds compared to the latter’s 7/4 odds.
Sunday’s showdown will not be explosive if The Undertaker will not be in one of these match-ups. Fans will be in for a treat as The Deadman will gun for yet another “Streak” against a much younger opponent, in the person of Roman Reigns.
The odds, however, are against the 52-year-old wrestling star as his health is reported to be in a not-so-good condition. Several analysts say that this very well could be The Undertaker’s last Wrestlemania. Bodog puts The Undertaker’s odds at 13/4 compared to Reigns’ 2/11.
For hard-core wrestling fans, the match-up between Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho will be the highlight of Sunday’s Wrestlemania.
Everyone is familiar with the friendship-turned-rivals narrative of Owens and Jericho and it sure is exciting to see how things will play out between them in the end. That being said, fans are predicting a win for Owens, with 1/8 odds compared to Jericho’s 17/4.
But as the saying goes in the world of professional wrestling, “results are subject to change at the last minute.” So always tread carefully when betting on Wrestlemania because these odds could turn upside down fast than the 3-count that ended the Undertaker’s 21-0 streak.
