The initiative which will debut at the Malta iGaming Seminar on the 8th of November 2016 in the form of a Gala Dinner, is the first of its kind that is employee centric. The organizers announced that the headline sponsor of the event will be Videoslots.com.
Alexander Stevendahl, CEO of Videoslots.com commented by saying ““When reading about the concept of iGaming Idol together with our Videoslots.com family, we all got very excited. Finally, an award that will recognize the true talents behind the iGaming industry’s success – We didn’t need to think twice, we had to be the main sponsor of this amazing award!
Video Slots was founded in 2011 and is a respected casino online brand that provides technical excellence, exceptional customer service and market leading game play innovation. The company, which is owned by a Maltese Registered entity offers over 350 different games.
The Malta Gaming Authority endorsed the event through Joseph Cuschieri, Executive Chairman who said ““iGaming Idol is a great addition to the calendar of gaming events here in Malta and we are happy to support this initiative. Well done to the organisers who have created such a premium event, which recognises outstanding individuals from within the gaming industry but also supports charity. The iGaming Idol awards will further improve the ecosystem for the gaming industry in Malta”.
The Gaming Idol was founded with three main pillars in mind; Recognition to the employee, Charity for those in need and Entertainment, an Oscar-Like evening with all it’s glitz and glamour and red carpet treatment.
The nominees may avail themselves to ten different categories, most of which cover the majority of the gaming operations. These include Marketing, Tech, Finance, Compliance and regulated markets, HR, Design, Data and Business Intelligence, Fraud and Risk, Live Casino and Customer care. Both female and male nominees will be put to the test in front of expert panel of judges whereas the whole process will be audited through the prestigious consultancy firm BDO Malta. Three finalist from each category will arrive at the final short list and will be invited to the Gala Dinner on the 8th November at the Hilton.
Michael Pedersen, a co-founder of iGaming idol together with MIGS, Ambassador events and Ramona Mifsud, said commented by saying “We feel that there is a gap in the industry to offer a well organized awards event which is transparent and really recognizes the individual for their knowledge and expertise within their realm. We also felt that with this being a very important calendar event for the Gaming community it is also a great opportunity to donate some of the proceeds to a charity of choice which will be the Malta Community Chest Fund.”
The event will also be supported by Apco Pay, NetEnt amongst other name sponsors. To nominate yourself or a colleague or enquire about sponsorship opportunities you may go to www.igamingidol.com or www.facebook.com/igamingidol/
