When you’re pulling together your content strategy and planning your editorial calendar try hard to consider all the different kind of content you can to add some variety and appeal to different kind of audiences. Whilst there’s a lot of power to the written word some kinds of content work really well in promotion across say, social media for example image based memes or infographics.
Try to incorporate some of the following into your plan.
- Videos – could be betting tips or a post-match analysis
- Infographics
- Image memes
- Games
- Tools
- Quizzes
- Surveys
- Polls
Not only will this add variety and help increase engagement but you’ll probably find that when it comes to brainstorming content ideas – having to consider all these different kinds of content will really stretch your imagination so you can come up with more original unique content. Make sure you are reporting and measuring on content performance by “type” so that you can build a picture of what kind of content is performing well against your high level objectives. You may find that your audience surprises you!
