The British Poker Awards presented by BLUFF Europe and sponsored by PokerStars is the UK’s official poker awards . There were so many great achievements from players from the UK last year; it’s tough to predict a winner.
Will it be Hendon Mobster Barny Boatman who won his maiden WSOP bracelet in the $1,500 event? Or how about triple award nominee Matt Ashton who took down the WSOP Players’ Championship for over $1.7m? Matt Perrins also enjoyed his trip to Vegas, securing a second bracelet and earnings of over $800k.
Rounding out the list of contenders are David Vamplew and Stephen Chidwick. Both missed out on bracelet glory but still enjoyed memorable times at the Rio. Vamplew managed a pair of second place finishes at the 2013 WSOP which helped him boost his bankroll by over three quarters of a million dollars.
