The seventh installment of the London Affiliates Conference is a little under a month away, but you can already feel the buzz emanating all the way from London. That’s what naturally happens when conference season kicks in, and you can argue that there aren’t that many that are as big as the eagerly anticipated LAC.
So what should you expect for the London Affiliates Conference? Well, for one, you can expect a lot of people. Lots of it. If the 2012 conference was any indication, then 2,500 of the brightest minds in the industry seem to be a fairly conservative estimate. Organizers are hoping to push the total to around 2,700 but with the conference’s growing popularity, we wouldn’t be surprised if that number breaches 3,000.
But the people that make up the event is only one part of the overall appeal of the London Affiliates Conference; equally important are the four days dedicated to the event that comprise just about everything you’d want in a major gaming conference: multitude of conferences, exhibitions, networking events, a throng of parties, and even an iGaming Series of Poker that will be open for all registered affiliates and sponsored programs. You name it, the LAC has it.
The four-day event kicks off on the 7th of February with registration at the Grange St. Paul Hotel, giving delegates an opportunity to rub elbows and get to know their contemporaries leading up to the two-day expo and conference. It’s the calm before the storm, so to speak, but one that will be full of networking opportunities for delegates and guests alike.
The 8th and 9th of February are where the action’s at. Exhibitions and conferences will be the order of the two days. Over 100 exhibitors are expected to be on-hand, as well as a multitude of speakers from all corners of the industry. There are 31 speakers in total by our last count and every single one of them has will have nuggets of wisdom that everybody can learn from. We don’t expect anybody to be able to attend all 31 speakers, but if somebody did, then you can definitely say that they got their time’s worth at the LAC. Speaking of the speakers, the LAC will host some heavyweights in the industry, the likes of whom will offer a goldmine of knowledge. From Jon Friedberg of Pokertrip Enterprises to Martin McDonald, the director of Expedia Affiliate Network, and Michael Caselli, the Editor-in-Chief of iGaming Business, there won’t be a shortchange of brilliant minds speaking during the two-day conference bonanza.
The 8th of February is also when the 6th iGBAffiliate Awards is set to take place, a pre-eminent spectacle where the stars of the industry are given due honor for their contributions to the industry. Rest assured, there’s going to be a whole lot of celebration on this night and we expect nothing short than a bashing good time!
The event will commence on the 10th of February with a long-standing iGB Affiliate event tradition: the Sunday Session. The event gives everyone a chance to hammer down final business with their new-found colleagues. Nothing caps off a busy conference schedule than a chance to sit back, unwind, and prepare for a year’s worth of further growth in the industry.
