Serbian association supports blocking; Amaya Gaming going mobile; HippodromeCasino.com gets affiliate software

serbia amaya hippodromeOne of Serbia’s uppermost gaming associations has given its backing to IP blocking. JAKATA represents operators, technicians and games manufacturers and is in full support of the plan, as it will strengthen the position of the country’s recently adopted gambling act. President Mirjana Acimovic is quoted by eGR as saying: “This is just the first step in implementing new gambling act and one of the measures which will make Serbian gaming environment regulate and favorable to serious internet and remote gambling providers as well as land-based operators.”

She did recognize that blocking “does not yield many results” although at the same time the fact they’re trying “is sending loud message to legitimate businesses.”

Canadian provider Amaya Gaming will makes its first moves into the mobile gaming industry in the second quarter. The firm’s first offering will cover both mobile and tablet devices and as Darcy Krogh, VP of business development, explained it’s now an important part of their business model.

HippodromeCasino.com has become the latest site to utilize Network Media Services’ affiliate software. Hippodrome’s online gaming site, which is set to launch on April 1, will use the eGaming Affiliate System Software (EGASS) management platform. The website is a joint venture between the Hippodrome Casino in London and Media Corporation, with Ian Jewers, CEO of Network Media Services, commenting: “Media Corporation has a wealth of knowledge and experience in this competitive space and demanded a solution that would enable its partners’ affiliates to maximise commissions through multi-campaign tracking and pinpoint reporting.”
