Aristocrat Technologies appoint senior director; GLI Canada’s new global lottery group obtains WLA status; JCM Global deal with MicroFirst

Aristocrat Bally GLI JCM GLobal MicroFirstSlot and systems provider, Aristocrat Technologies, has named Jeffrey J. Connors as its new Senior Director of National Accounts and Business Development.

The firm announced today that Connors originally comes from Bally Tech, bringing over 20 years of casino management system experience as well as 275 customers in North America. In his new position at Aristocrat, he will have responsibility for new business development, managing national systems accounts, and will be instrumental in increasing the systems footprint across North America.

In a company statement, Aristocrat VP of Systems sales & Marketing, Kelly Shaw, said: “We are very excited to welcome Jeff back to the Aristocrat family. He was instrumental in growing our Oasis systems business, first with Casino Data Systems and then with Aristocrat until 2003, and we are confident that he will make significant contributions to our company and to our customers.”

Oasis 360 is the most widely installed system in North America, currently monitoring devices at more than 275 casinos, Aristocrat confirmed.

 

Gaming test lab – Gaming Laboratories International – has announced its Canadian arm’s new global lottery consulting group has obtained WLA SCS Certification Service Entity status to provide WLA Security Control Standard certification audits for Lotteries.

Translating that into English, GLI Test Labs Canada’s said its new status as a “Certification Service Entity” means it is now “the only specialised lottery industry organisation headquartered in North America to carry the distinction”, a press release stated.

GLI Test Labs Canada Director of Lottery Services, Gregory Doucette, said: “We are very pleased to provide a North American-based, cost-effective WLA SCS certification audit solution that will permit lotteries to pursue the lottery sector’s only internationally recognized security standard.”

Additionally, the company now has one of only 24 Accredited WLA Lead Auditors in the world. With GLI having both WLA SCS and ISO 27001 Lead Auditors, it means GLI can conduct a single-source complete certification audit.

 

Currency bill validators, JCM Global, has made a deal with international hardware and software company MicroFirst, which will see the companies distributing and serving JCM’s line of products in Pennsylvania.

JCM Global Senior Director of Operations and Customer Service, said: “JCM is well known for our world-class customer service, and we are absolutely confident we have found a partner in MicroFirst who will live up to the high standards we set and our customers expect.”

Under the agreement, MicroFirst will be the direct communication between casinos, overseeing: new product sales, project management, certified training for JCM products, field troubleshooting and customer support, warranty service items, out-of-warranty repairs, and system upgrade installations.
