Major players in the online gambling industry will have yet more chances to win an award after ICE Totally Gaming announced it would be holding its own ceremony early next year. Not wanting to be outdone in the conference awards stakes, Clarion has organized the event for Monday 23 January. That means it’s the night before the expo gets underway and may be an attempt to steal a march on the competition.
Kate Chambers, Portfolio Director of Clarion Events, commented: “ICE Totally Gaming is the event in the calendar when the global industry gathers here in London primarily to do business but to also network and socialize.
“We are very close to our stakeholders and the message coming through loud and clear is their desire for a prestigious awards programme that is for the industry, by the industry, and in conjunction with our partner associations that is exactly what we have created. The Totally Gaming Awards will provide an ideal way to launch what is the most comprehensive and international gaming event on the planet.”
The Totally Gaming Awards are organized in partnership with the European Casino Association (ECA) and National Casino Industry Forum (NCIF) in what’s an attempt to make sure awards are handed down to those that deserve it. Categories will include best bingo, betting, lottery, mobile and online product of 2011. That will be in addition to awards for best marketing, casino, and marketing campaign of the year.
An extra category will be there to give recognition to the contribution made by the gaming media as well as an individual accolade for outstanding contribution to the gambling industry.
