Pollard Banknote Limited has been awarded a two-year extension to its existing contract to continue supplying instant lottery tickets to the Ohio Lottery. This extension will run until June 30th 2013 and carries with it an estimated contract value of $5m.
The agreement extends an already longstanding relationship Pollard Banknote has enjoyed with the Ohio State Lottery. The Pollard Banknote has been an instant ticket supplier to the Ohio Lottery since 1995.
In a statement made in the press release, Doug Pollard, co-CEO of Pollard Banknote said, “Pollard Banknote is pleased to obtain this latest contract extension from the Ohio Lottery…This cements a solid partnership, and speaks to our ability to bring innovative new play styles to market. We very much look forward to bringing these exciting options to Ohio’s players, and to helping the Ohio Lottery expand their player base and their sales.”
The amended extension allows the Ohio Lottery to order a variety of new Pollard Banknote-patented instant game products, in addition to a wide variety of instant lottery tickets.
Ohio is one of those states in which gambling and casinos make up a huge portion of the state’s revenue and fund a number of social programs. Since sales began in 1974, the Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $17bn to help fund K-12 education across Ohio. More than half of revenues come from the sale of instant tickets.
