Sportium to capitalize on new Spanish gaming regulations

spain-flagIn anticipation of the publication of new betting regulations in the official journal Friday, Sportium, a joint venture between Cirsa and Ladbrokes has positioned itself to take full advantage of the Spanish gaming market in the autonomous region of Valencia.

Started in 2007 by Cirsa and Ladbrokes, Sportium is a strategic partnership. The alliance allows both companies to achieve synergies with Cirsa knowing the gaming sector in Spain and being a producer and distributor of its own gaming machines through Unidesa. Ladbrokes provides its expertise in the field of gambling settings, particularly sports betting.

Sportium has already made its entry strategy into the region, with the publication of the Decree approving the Regulations Odds of Valencia on Friday, Sportium has submitted its bid. Sportium plans to set up over a hundred points of sale between corners in casinos, bingo halls and classrooms and local stores. These centers are the best option with spaces reserved for attending live sporting events while patrons bet on different modalities. The Sportium intention is to have more than a hundred places to bet on the sidelines of the 700 machines installed in catering establishments.

Sportium continues to grow its presence, as it currently has over 120 outlets in the Community of Madrid, and has just settled in Aragon, where it will open 70 stores in the up-coming months. Sportium has also been licensed in Navarre, and will soon exert it’s presence into that community.
