Now I was sitting here of the opinion that ‘arry Redknapp’s days of wheeling and dealing were over. His Tottenham side are fine as they are, no need for any illegal tapping up, addition of new players/back room staff/cocktail waiteresses, whatever they require. Looks like ‘arry was telling a little fib though.
The club this week announced a deal with popular gaming firm Sportingbet.com, which will see them become Tottenham’s super-duper gaming partner, with a brand presence at their White Hart Lane stadium, and within the club’s communications channels.
Ironically the first fixture that their branding was visible at the White Hart Lane stadium was a 3-1 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers, who are, of course, sponsored by Sportingbet themselves.
Daniel Levy, Chairman of Tottenham Hotspur said, “As a significant brand in the sports gaming world and with a strong passion for football we are delighted to have Sportingbet.com on board as the Club’s official gaming partner.”
Sportingbet are well known in the world of football as it reprensents 65% of their total sports business and they take 42 million bets on football each year.
