Tired of being a perennial also-ran to Betfair, Irish-based betting exchange Betdaq is looking at mobile betting to get a leg up. CEO Brian O’Sullivan thinks that as in-play betting grows in popularity, mobile wagers will ultimately account for 50% of Betdaq’s transactions (from its current 5%). But while O’Sullivan personally likes the iPhone as a gadget, he hates Apple’s anti-gambling stance, so Betdaq is focusing on designing a product that will work with Google’s Android system.
