The cash strapped New York Racing Association just received its bailout from the state. The New York legislature has just approved a $25 million loan to the NYRA which effectively guarantees thoroughbred racing at Belmont Park, Saratoga Race Course and Aqueduct Racetrack until next year. Read more.
